Bubbleworld – The birth of a painting – August 2015

Finally I finished a time-lapse video of the process of painting.

A few words about the painting itself… I made it for order to a dear friend. She asked me to use earth colors with a hint of turquoise. The size was also definite… 150×50 cm. Well it was a challenge for me as I almost never use a brownish color scheme and the size was also different.

I always loved to watch Howto videos and as it was already a challenge I decided to make a video of the whole process… I was curious too how the painting grows and how can I make a video that is enjoyable for others as well… Honestly it was so much fun that I’ll make more 😀

So here you are 🙂

L’Essor

Szombaton nyílt meg az újabb kiállításom a Vallée de Joux-ban, a Galerie l’Essor-ban. A kiállítás május 24-ig nézhető meg.
A megnyitón nem voltak sokan talán az eső, talán a szomszédban zajló vásár, talán a gyerekek templomi hangversenye miatt, mégis szinte észre sem vettem, és máris 5 képem mellett virított az a bizonyos kis piros pötty. Ha így folytatjuk, a hónap végére kifogyok a képekből, kezdhetek mindent előlről 😀
A márciusi kiállításom egyenlege végül 8 eladott kép lett, amit én óriási sikernek tartok 🙂

My new exhibition’s opening ceremony took place on last Saturday in the Galerie l’Essor, in the Valleé de Joux. It’ll be open until the 24th May.
Maybe because of the rain, or because of the fair in the neighbourhood, or because of the kids’ concert in the church, there wasn’t many visitors on the vernissage… even so I found that red dot beside 5 paintings in no time after the doors were open. If we go on like this I’ll run out of paintings by the end of the month 😀
By the way 8 works gone by the end of the March exhibition… it’s a huge success for me, so thanks for everyone!

22-én, vasárnap Edith Piaf emlékest volt a galériában, a kiállításom keretein belül. Kedves barátnőm, Kárász Eszter színésznő énekelte a jól ismert sanzonokat Pagonyi András harmonikaművész kíséretével a frankofon közönségnek. Tapsoltunk, pityeregtünk együtt lélegeztünk a zenével… érzelmekkel feltöltődve ért véget ez a remek este. Köszönöm Eszter! 🙂
Azok kedvéért, akik nem lehettek jelen ezen a fantasztikus estén, és a kiállításomat sem tudták megnézni, készítettem egy videót, melyben kicsit körbejárom a galériát, a Edith Piaf Mylord című snazonjának hangjaitól kísérve, természetesen Eszter előadásában. Szeretettel Nektek! 🙂

On sunday, the 22nd there was an Edith Piaf soirée in the gallery under my paintings. Eszter Kárász actress, a close friend of mine came from Hungary to sing the well known chansons with the very talented András Pagonyi accordeon-player to the francophone audience. We all applauded, cried and respired with the music… this amazing evening filled up everyone with emotions. Thank you Eszter! 🙂
And for those who couldn’t come to enjoy the concert with us and neither watch my exhibition, I’ve made a short movie… with the Mylord of Edith Piaf, singing Eszter. With love to You! 🙂

Kiállítás… Exhibition

Tegnap volt a megnyitója első igazi, galériás svájci kiállításomnak. Fura volt, de jó. Elég sok ember jelent meg, sokan voltak kíváncsiak a képeimre, ami rendkívüli élmény volt. Sajnos már a készülődést is megkeserítette a gyerekek lebetegedése, amit csak súlyosbított, hogy a megnyitó napján a férjem is ágynak esett. Így aztán a leginkább járóképes családtag kísért el a nagy eseményre, az anyukám 🙂 Sok kedves barátom megjelent, és sajnos sokan nem tudtak eljönni. Mindenesetre én ott leszek még március 29-ig minden szerdán, és pénteken este 6 és 8 óra, és hétvégenként fél 3 és fél 8 között… akit érdekel, látogasson meg! 🙂

There was the opening ceremony of my first exhibition in a real swiss gallery. It was weird a bit, but cool. There were a lot of visitors who became just to watch my paintings that was an awesome feeling. And they loved them! Unfortunately my kids became sick at the beginning of this week that made the preparation more difficult. The fact that my husband came home sick just before the opening ceremony put the icing on the cake. So the only ambulant family member came with me to this special event: my mother 🙂 Many friends of mine showed up and unfortunately many of them couldn’t come. But I’ll be there until the 29th of march on every wednesday and friday evening from 6 to 8 pm and on the week-ends between 2:30 and 7:30 pm. So everyone who is interested can come to visit me… I’ll wait you there 🙂

2015: Year of the SPARK

Jelentkeztem egy egyéves online művészeti kurzusra… régóta fontolgattam már, hát most végre megléptem. A kurzust Lynn Whipple és Carla Sonnheim, amerikai művészek vezetik, “2015: Year of the SPARK” címmel. Kicsit olyan, mint az egyetemen. Kéthetente vannak újabb projektek, amiket végig kell vinni. Értékelés gyanánt  a Facebook csoportunkba töltjük fel az elkészült munkák képeit, amit aztán megvitatunk. Nagyon élvezem… megint új technikákat próbálhatok ki, tippeket, és ötleteket meríthetünk egymás munkáiból.

Az első feladat egyvonalas rajzok készítése volt.

I signed up on a one year long online art course… I’ve planned it for a long time, so now finally I’ve stepped ahead. Two american artist, Lynn Whipple and Carla Sonnheim drive us through this course named “2015: Year of the SPARK”. It’s a bit like on the university… there’s one project in every second week that we have to make. When we’re ready with something we upload the photos of our art pieces on the Facebook group and we discuss of them. I’m really amazed of that course… I have to try new technics, we take inspiration and we get ideas from each other’s works.

Our first project was to make one-liner drawings and then make art pieces from them.
